Frequently Asked Questions

Do you repair both heat pumps and gas pool heaters?

We repair pool heat pumps in-house, from diagnosis to fix. For gas pool heaters, we inspect the controls, water flow, pressure switch, error codes and electrical side. Burner, ignition, venting and gas-line work is done by a licensed gas contractor: we refer you to one or coordinate the work with them.

How long does a heater inspection take?

It depends on your heater and what we find. A routine check is quicker than tracking down a fault. Either way, you get a written report of what we checked and what we recommend.

Why is my pool heat pump not heating in winter?

A heat pump pulls heat from the outside air, so it puts out less heat as the air gets colder. On cold days, slower heating is normal. If it is not heating on mild days either, something is wrong: we check airflow around the unit, low water flow, refrigerant, and sensors and error codes.

Should I repair or replace an old pool heater?

Start with an inspection. If one part has failed and the rest of the heater is sound, repair usually makes sense. If a major part like the heat exchanger or compressor has failed, or the same fault keeps coming back, we will tell you, and you can compare new heaters in our shop.
